The Nineteen Blocks Story
Michael and Andrew met in 2006, as they both attended Ithaca College and became good friends as their deep passion for their sport of choice, lacrosse, was the glue that stuck these two together.
After Andrew graduated in 2009, he left for the West Coast to pursue his career while Michael went back to his stomping grounds of New York City. Both had successful roles in tech for a number of years.
In 2015, Michael made the the pivot to commercial real estate. As they stayed in touch through the years being separate, Andrew reconnected with Michael in 2018 as he hit his “glass ceiling” in tech and was ripe for a new challenge.
Once they met for lunch and discussed next steps on joining forces, the rest was history, as their goals, visions, and work ethic aligned amongst the stars.
They both share similar passions and strive to change the game of commercial real estate by bringing their core ethos of integrity, honesty and trust to every client they work with and every deal they close.
Michael Lohan
Managing Partner
Michael Lohan is the Founding Principal of Nineteen Blocks. Michael is responsible for the company’s finance operations, overseeing the acquisitions pipeline as well as the planning and execution of fundraising and investor relations programs, including cultivation of HNW and Family Office investor networks, and managing relationships with current and potential institutional investors. Prior to Nineteen Blocks Group, Michael was a Managing Director at The Nassimi Group. In this capacity, he advised a bench of domestic and international clients for commercial brokerage and investment sales for single-assets, portfolios, development sites, JV partnerships and partial equity sales across multifamily, office, retail and hospitality asset classes. Michael received a B.S. in Finance and Economics and graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College. He was also a 4-year varsity lacrosse letterman at Ithaca.

Andrew Vecchio
Managing Partner
Andrew Vecchio is the Founding Partner of Nineteen Blocks, where he is responsible for the company’s technology stack, marketing, operations, overall business development and strategic investor relations. Andrew’s focus is on utilizing his decade of experience building relationships with top decision makers in order to add value and certainty to their investment mandates. Prior to Nineteen Blocks Group, Andrew spent nearly a decade in The San Francisco Bay Area working in a variety of relationship based and business development roles in tech and venture capital, most notably at Apple Inc and JP Morgan Chase. Since then, Andrew worked alongside Michael at The Nassimi Group as their Commercial Investments Director building out the firm’s institutional clientele and relations. After that, he spent time at Invictus Real Estate Partners, a private equity firm where he focused on raising debt and equity for ground up multi family and value add projects in the tri-state area. Andrew received his B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from Ithaca College.
